Cookie Policy
Last updated October 5, 2026
Cookies and browser storage can remember choices or help providers recognize a browser. This policy covers the inspected SafeSight public website, not separate client-portal or third-party sites.
Necessary functionality and preferences
SafeSight stores your cookie choice in localStorage under safesight-cookie-consent. The choice is valid for 180 days, unless you clear storage or change it earlier. This is necessary to respect your decision and does not contain your name or email.
Some resource popups use browser storage to remember that a popup was dismissed or shown. This is an interface preference, not a newsletter subscription. Provider-hosted forms can also use security or form-session storage needed to handle a request. Rejecting optional tracking does not block enquiry submission.
Analytics — Google Analytics 4
Provider: Google. Purpose: understand website visits and usage. Category: optional analytics. GA4 is loaded only when you permit analytics. Common cookies include _ga and _ga_*; Google's default expiry is approximately two years, subject to provider configuration, browser limits and later changes. Analytics requests may include IP/device/browser and page information. Advertising storage and personalization are not enabled by this website's analytics consent.
Analytics — Microsoft Clarity
Provider: Microsoft. Purpose: usage and session insights, including interaction patterns. Category: optional analytics. Clarity loads only with analytics consent. Common cookies include _clck (approximately one year) and _clsk (approximately one day); Microsoft may also use provider-domain cookies. Actual storage depends on browser and provider behavior.
Marketing and conversion tracking — HubSpot
Provider: HubSpot. Purpose: recognize visits and relate website activity to lead conversions. Category: optional marketing/tracking. The global tracking script loads only with marketing consent. Common cookies include hubspotutk and __hstc (approximately 180 days), __hssc (approximately 30 minutes) and __hssrc (session). These are provider defaults, not a retention schedule for CRM contacts.
Submitting a custom enquiry still sends your request to HubSpot without marketing consent. The website attaches the HubSpot browser identifier only if marketing consent is enabled. Embedded and external hosted forms are provider-controlled and may have their own essential/security behavior and cookie controls.
Video, fonts and abuse protection
Provider: Google/YouTube. Embedded videos do not load until you allow marketing or choose Load video for that player. Loading a video shares your IP, browser and page-related information with Google and can permit provider storage; durations depend on the provider and browser. A one-player choice does not grant sitewide marketing consent. The website uses YouTube's privacy-enhanced embed host where supported.
Google Fonts is requested for the website's typography and can disclose your IP and request information to Google; the font request is not an analytics cookie.
If an embedded or hosted form displays Google reCAPTCHA, Google processes browser and interaction information to assess abuse and may set _GRECAPTCHA or other security storage. Its purpose is abuse prevention; duration and exact behavior depend on the form provider. Sitewide reCAPTCHA for custom forms is not yet configured.
Managing your choice
Accept all permits optional analytics and marketing. Reject non-essential permits neither. Manage preferences lets you choose each separately. Optional choices are off by default. Use Cookie preferences in the footer to change your decision.
Withdrawing consent stops optional scripts on the refreshed page and attempts to remove accessible first-party tracking cookies. The site cannot remove cookies on another provider's domain or reverse earlier processing. Your browser settings let you clear those cookies or restrict storage. If browser storage is unavailable, choices may not persist between visits; optional tracking defaults to off on each fresh visit.
