Demonstrating the Future of Response Tools

To ensure these tools deliver when it matters most, we put them through rigorous emergency response equipment testing. Recently, we staged a live demonstration to showcase how both the ERD and DeepTraxx FR could be used in a real-world fire response scenario.

SafeScout ERD Demo:We launched the ERD to capture situational information from above and inside a confined space. With its HD FPV video, responders were able to see in real time what hazards lay ahead. The onboard thermal imaging added another layer, making it possible to detect heat sources even through smoke.

DeepTraxx FR Demo:Next, we deployed the rover into a long, enclosed corridor — simulating the scenario of a fire blocking access at the far end. Using its 5G system, the DeepTraxx FR maintained connectivity as it travelled down the hallway and around a blind corner. This allowed responders to see what was ahead without risking exposure. In comparison, our analog version would have lost connection in these conditions, proving the critical importance of next-generation connectivity.

Together, these demonstrations illustrated how drones and rovers can create a safer buffer between responders and the unknown.
